While this recording was made before the coronavirus crisis, the key challenges surrounding the Open Access models for academic book publishing and acquisition, as the supply and demand sides of the scholarly monograph market, must have remained the same, albeit institutional repositories are likely to have become increasingly important for university strategies, such as in regard to their Open Access policies, and scholarly publishing houses can be expected to be searching for innovative business models.
