More information:

The event is organized by the Documentation Services of the University of Minho (SDUM), the Foundation for Science and Technology of Portugal (FCT) and the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science (Ibict).

ConfOA, alternating between Portugal- and Brazil-based Portuguese, aims to bring together the Portuguese and Brazilian communities, which carry out research, development, service management and policy-making activities related to Open Access to knowledge and Open Science, with the purpose of promoting the sharing, discussion and dissemination of knowledge, practices and research on these themes, in all their dimensions and perspectives.

Keeping the theme of the previous ConfOA “From Open Access to Open Science”, the 11th ConfOA intends to consolidate the broadening of the scope of the conference, while considering Open Access as a central component, and an indispensable precondition, of Open Science, which covers several other dimensions.
