Sorry, We’re Open: Golden Open Access and Inequality in the Natural Sciences | Russell J. Gray | bioRxiv preprint, March 13, 2020

This paper argues that the transition to Open Access publishing by prestigious, high impact journals shows trends in inequality in global research output. Inequality amongst institutions, publishers, journals, and researchers is likely to prevent adequate exposure of potentially important research.
