Barbier, Louis M., James L. Green, and David S. Draper. "The need for open access and natural language processing." Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 119.15, (2022).

This letter proposes that open access, combined with natural language processing (NLP), can help effectively organize the literature, while encouraging publishers to make papers open access, archives to make papers easily findable, and researchers to employ their own NLP as an important tool.
