This multi-method exploratory study inquires into whether it is possible to evaluate the progress of open knowledge institutions and what are potential indicators for that, such as with regard to digital Open Access.

The results of this study demonstrate the statistical evidence of disparities in characteristics such as Indigenous employment, gender equity, and repository use across Australian universities.
