Emery, Christina et al. "Going for Gold: Exploring the Reach and Impact of Gold Open Access Articles in Hybrid Journals." Open Research White Paper, Springer Nature, (2021).

This white paper has compared Open Access (OA) articles published in hybrid journals with non-OA articles published in the same journals. Its findings indicate that OA articles tend to have higher citation, download, and impact levels than non-OA articles.
